Unwed Sailor tour dates, Starflyer and Witmer vinyl, Bosque Brown

Unwed Sailor dates have been added for their November US tour and their late November/December European tour. As you may have noticed from the new splash page, Starflyer 59’s Dial M and Denison Witmer’s Carry the Weight LPs are available for pre-order. Dial M contains a vinyl only bonus track and those who purchased Ghosts of the Future will get a $3 discount. Be sure to select the proper option when checking out. Carry the Weight will include a vinyl only bonus track and a digital download coupon. Bosque Brown Baby is getting mastered tomorrow at The Echo Lab in Denton. This is slated for a March 2009 release provided all goes well. I’m super excited about this record finally being ready for the world to hear. The New Year were awesome last night. Matt Pence who recorded Bosque Brown’s Cerro Verde is on tour with them. They also have some really sweet silk-screened posters for sale. I’m off to Chicago. I’m going to see Jimmy Dale Gilmore on Saturday night and am pretty excited. I’m also taking my parents to Hot Dougs, an essential destination when you are in Chicago. :::scott:::

I’ve made some edits to the online store. Starflyer 59 Dial M and Denison Witmer Carry the Weight test-pressing LPs are now on-sale. These are both in ultra-limited editions of 25 and will ship as soon as they arrive from the factory (approximately 4-6 weeks before the official release date). They will ship without artwork and the artwork will be sent later. Both LPs will have an additional track exclusive to the LP release. Soporus 24,110 cd is also available for pre-order and will ship just before the retail release date of 28 October. Unwed Sailor is gearing up to finish History in early October. Unwed Sailor is also planning extensive touring in the fall, hitting the road in the US in November and then off to Europe for late November/early December. We’ll have confirmed dates soon. :::scott:::

They made a valiant attempt at taking a train to the show, but it didn’t work out. They’ll make up for it the next time they’re in the US, for sure. Thanks to everyone who so fully supported Yndi Halda’s month in the US, everyone who came out to the shows and helped with places to stay, and especially to Bojan for booking, Alex in Williamsport for booking them at a new venue, Tim in Lancaster for taking a chance at a gallery show, Nathan in Virginia for getting two solid shows, Jamie in Jackson for delivering shirts, Johnathon for helping set up the Tulsa show super last minute, Jason for driving them around, and Commissioner and Willis for loaning gear. I’m sure there are more folks who should be thanked, too, that I may not even know about. It was great getting to see them one last time in NYC with Caspian at Piano’s on Saturday. It was also my birthday and a big crew of us attended the Phillies/Dodgers game…Continue reading
