Test pressings for Emperor X’s one-sided LP The Blythe Archives Vol. 1 arrived and sound great. Everything should be on track to have some LPs for his mid-November tour dates, including 17 November in Philadelphia. There’s a big puzzle in the artwork and etching, but I’ll reveal more information soon.
I went to see The Darjeeling Limited with Mara, Ryan, and Winston in Dallas, making it the second Wes Anderson movie I’ve seen in a Texas theater. Kind of weird coincidence for me, I guess. I enjoyed the movie and really wished I’d been able to go to India like I was supposed to several years ago.
I left Norman yesterday and Unwed Sailor was wrapping up the recording and hoping to start mixing Little Wars. We’ll see how it all shapes up. I enjoyed visiting Guestroom Records, a really great record store on Main Street in Norman, and also loved having some breakfasts at The Diner.
See you at Jesu tomorrow night in the basement of the Unitarian, Philadelphia.

I’m in Amsterdam for the next week and a half or so. Starflyer 59 Ghosts of the Future 7″ have been shipped. The colored vinyl versions are no longer available. We may have some spare sets at the end of the series.
The songs for 7″ 5, 6, and 7 are now finished and on their way for lacquer mastering. We should have test pressings ready in about 4 to 6 weeks.

The new test pressings for mewithoutYou’s Brother, Sister LP sound great. I’ll be putting it up for pre-order later today. We’re in the queue for color vinyl pressing so it should just be a couple of weeks until they ship out. I’m excited to finally have this ready to come out.
The Starflyer 59 Ghost of the Future 7″ should be shipping in about a week or so. I was hoping to get them out earlier, but there have been some issues at the factory causing some delays. It should be worth the wait.
In other good news, the curse has been lifted and we now have copies of Aspera’s Back When Love LPs. It’s been a super long time coming and this is definitely an amazing record. It has some of the last songs that Aspera ever recorded before their end. Now members are in Philadelphia’s Blood Feathers (Box Theory) and NYC’s Favourite Sons (Vice). The cover painting of the band is truly amazing.
