It’s a busy week for weddings. I’m back from Lake Seneca in upstate New York where my friends Kate and Dave got married this weekend. Congratulations! I also got to see my friends Brian and Liz from Austin.
This weekend, Matthew and Carrie are getting married. In honor of the pending union, we took the commissioner to see the Orioles and Red Sox play. Mike and I felt so bad that no one was cheering the Orioles in Baltimore that we betrayed our friends and better judgement to root for the O’s. It didn’t really help them and Boston won. It’s an exciting time for baseball, though much less exciting for the Red Sox and Orioles who are already looking forward to some winter vacation. As a Dodgers fan, I’m watching the NL West and that heated last minute scramble. I’m also cheering for the hometown Phils who are in the mix for a potential wild card victory. I’m really cheering for Ryan Howard to break the record of 61 homers in the regular season (discounting those juiced monsters who have tarnished the game).
