Ethan and Courtney’s wedding was yesterday and was really classy. Congratulations and enjoy the honeymoon in Egypt. See you in a couple of weeks.
We went to Cereality on Friday night on my insistance. My concoction was a scoop of lucky charms, a scoop of cocoa puffs, and chocolate milk crystals. It was supposed to have malted milk ball pieces on it, but the girl forgot and I didn’t realize until later. Jess had Cap’n Crunch with Reese’s Puffs, a banana, raisins, and chocolate syrup. The raisins sank to the bottom, but otherwise, it was a good combo. We were lame and just picked off of the meager 4 combo suggestions that they had on the board. They were playing cartoons on the tv, but had their sound muted out to play crappy oooh baby music. But, if you live in Philadelphia, go check it out in the next couple of months while their still in business and mix your cereal like Mom never let you do.
The Pixies we decent last night. I’m giving them a B-. We had to sit way far back and the sound was like listening through a tin can. I smuggled the minidisc in, but I’m not sure it will result in anything good. My friend John was sitting like 15 rows back or so, I’m sure his concert experience was a lot better. They played a decent set, but when you fork over $35 plus the $7.50 or so in ticketmaster (we’re not a monopoly but just try to buy our tickets somewhere else) charges, you have higher expectations. Or at least I do. They played a meager 1 song encore after about an hour and 15 minute set.
Tonight, we’re off to see some kind of weird puppet show at the Rotunda in West Philadelphia.
Oh yeah, for those interested, Reels of White Softly Flow is playing at the Lizard Lounge at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on 30 December. There’s also going to be a show in Philadelphia on 1 January, but the venue has not yet been determined. A few things are in the works, but something will definitely happen.
As far as mailorder in time for Christmas, the last day we are taking and processing orders will be 18 December. Order processing will likely resume on 27 or 28 December.
