After battling with some overzealous Clear Channel employees, Rich and I got kicked out of the Trocadero backstage area while giving LPs to Jason Martin from Starflyer on Saturday night. We ended up waiting in the cold for 30 minutes or so to collect our wristbands that allowed us access to our friends. Nice job. The sound here always suffers from big room syndrome, it’s unfortunate Starflyer and Pedro the Lion played the space, but it was good to see the familiar rock. Starflyer was great to see as a two piece with Martin and Lenz bringing the guitar and drums and MacAlister joining with keys for a song. Speaking of Keyes, where are you man? He wrote the short story on the back of the sf59 LP that’s out in circulation finally.
Morr music tour in Philadelphia on Thursday. Maybe I’ll make it out to that. I love Styrofoam.
