I got back from meeting with Joey and Adam, the new manager for The Trouble with Sweeney, to usher in 2004 as The Year of the Sweeney. Plans for a new springtime single/cdep and an autumn full-length were discussed. More details as everything comes together. Is anyone else out there as sick of hearing about Pete Rose as I am? Keep that stinking crook out of baseball. I’m off to Amsterdam and Italy for a short trip in about a week and a half. See you all over there soon. My parents had to put their cat Sam to sleep. My cousin Deanna and her husband Norman won the Powerball lottery last week with someone from Pennsylvania. They have the difficult task of choosing between a $60 million lump sum or $110 million over time. I know a nice, up and coming record label that could use a benevolent investor… The Madison, WI Isthmus listed The Trouble with Sweeney’s I Know You Destroy as one of the best 5 albums in 2003. I Know You Destroy is #5 of the year’s top 10 for Rolling Stone music critic Christina Saraceno. Chandler from WICR in Indianapolis named Unwed Sailor’s The Marionette and The Music Box as his favorite album in 2003. :::scott:::

It’s been a while since I posted. I was home to Indiana for Christmas. Got to see my parents, grandma, and my good pal Ron and all his family. We all went to see the Elf and Ron and I did a late night showing of Lord of the Rings. Jess and I went to Williamsport and hung out with my pals Rich and Amy at the Crippled Bear. oh yeah. I’m hanging out in NYC for a couple of days, getting caught up on some work and fun. I made some updates to the mp3 links so you can access mp3s from The Trouble with Sweeney from the btv site, as well as their site. By the way, Saxon Shore’s site has some really nice photos from the tour. You can see what Matthew the king of btv mail order looks like while rocking out as the second saxxon guitarist. Johnathon from Unwed Sailor is going to be playing some shows with Decahedron, with some members of Frodus, and they’ll be touring some in February and March.
