I saw 16 Horsepower on Friday in Germantown at North by Northwest, the first time I’ve been to this club. It was great to see them play for the first time in about 3 years in Philadelphia. Saturday was Danielson at The Khyber with Espers and Architecture in Helsinki. I got there at 10:30 and only missed the 4th opening band. Danielson went on at 1am. Who books shows like this? Who wants to see bands at 1am? Completely ridiculous. I also think the four band bill is a crime against humanity.
June Panic is the newest addition to the one-sided LP schedule. He’s planning to record some material after he returns from a European tour. Also, Summer Hymns have confirmed participation in the series.
