I’m now in San Francisco and have been listening quite a lot to the forthcoming Aspera release, Oh Fantastica, schedule for stores on 3 June from Jagjaguwar. The boys are carefully tweaking their tunes for a one-sided LP to come out later in the autumn time frame. If you are a fan of the Birds Fly sound (and how couldn’t you be?), you will love Oh Fantastica and all that comes later.

I had a great time hanging out with my friends in LA and was able to make a second stop at Randy’s Donuts on the way to the airport. Perfection in a donut? Maybe, pretty close. I think the central PA donuts with creme in the ring give them a run for their money, but Randy does know what’s up.
