Last night, Ethan and I went to see Ester Drang play at the Khyber. Owen was supposed to play, but ended up cancelling. Bad form to cancel shows…The kids wanna rock. Anyhow, Johnathon Ford rode up from MacRock with the boys and Aaron Weiss from Me Without You joined up with us all for a nice night of rock, fun, and fresh soft pretzels. 8th and Washington pretzels are served fresh and hot, but they don’t open up until after midnight. Get yourself there the next time you find yourself bleary-eyed after a long show. It’s one of the cities well-hidden secrets. The Drang’s on tour for a couple more weeks, so be sure to catch them. NCAA basketball finals tonight. I’m not sure who to root for officially, but if Georgia Tech wins, I somehow manage to win the pool at my Mom’s school. Guess that as good a reason as any other. :::scott:::

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind today. A vanload of us made it to Citizens Bank Park to see the first Phillies game in the stadium, a late spring training game against the Indians. They ended up losing, but we got to see Jim Thome make the inaugural hit, a home run. We arrived early enough to grill some hot dogs and sausages out in the parking lot, which turned out to be a lot of fun. The stadium is nice enough, better than the Vet, for sure, but not nearly as interesting as Wrigley Field or Camden Yards or even Matt’s favorite Fenway Park. Tom and I were a little sleepy. We made it home around 4am from seeing Sufjan play at the Knitting Factory in NYC. The sound here is always good and for Sufjan’s set, it was exceptional. The place was completely buy ativan without prescription sold out, so there was very little space for comfort, but the show was definitely incredible.
