I’m back from Thailand for another week in Singapore. I was in Hat Yai, a fairly large city, and Songkhla, a sleepy little beach town just outside. Today, I’m happy because I just found out that the Dodgers won their division and will be in the playoffs for the first time since 1996. Go LA!
Jason Martin found the master to the Starflyer 59 one-sided LP and this will be mastered this week. LPs will be ready in time for their tour with Pedro the Lion and pre-orders will ship as soon as possible once the vinyl is back from the factory.
By the way, Mikael came across these words about the Mt. Eerie : Live in Copenhagen 3xLP. I found this brief article of note from the WKDU Communique where I was once a DJ way back in the day. It makes us happy to find that people are enjoying the set as much as we have. I hope there are more out there enjoying the vinyl, too.
For those interested, I was 9th in the Burnt Toast Vinyl fantasy baseball league. Willis took the prize.

I just got back from seeing Mt. Eerie play in Philadelphia. It’s always a great time to see Phil live. The first copies of the 3xLP were taken home by anxious purchasers in the crowd.
I updated the live dates to reflect the September 2004 Unwed Sailor tour of the Southern US. If you’re there, make sure you take time to see them play. Most dates are with Questions in Dialect.

When I got home from work, my doorstep was covered with boxes. Finally, the vinyl for the Ester Drang and Yume Bitsu one-sided LPs has arrived, as well as the vinyl and covers for the Mt. Eerie 3xLP. The covers look spectacular and the triple gatefold folds out into a 12″x36″ scene that Phil Elverum drew. I’m going to spend tonight assembling 3xLPs in order to get a bunch to Phil tomorrow for him to sell on tour. Mt. Eerie is going to be playing at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia tomorrow at 7:30pm. Be there or see them on another date of the tour.
