Here’s a little letter/update from Josh Tillman of Saxon Shore: hello friends saxon shore is taking a hiatus for the time-being as different members record other projects (matt and josh), move (zach), and take up full-time employment (stone). the plan is to reconviene in the fall/winter to record a new full-length and subsequently tour. we’re very grateful for all the kind press “four months of darkness” is getting and we’re excited to record what we believe to be far and away our best material to date. thanks for standing by us and we look forward to seeing everybody when we get back on the road. take care jt Saxon Shore’s Four Months of Darkness was #2 in Buzz Online’s top 10 for 2003. It’s been a while since I posted. I was home to Indiana for Christmas. Got to see my parents, grandma, and my good pal Ron and all his family. We all went to see the Elf and Ron and I did a late night showing of Lord of the Rings. Jess and I went to Williamsport and hung out with my pals Rich and Amy at the Crippled Bear. oh yeah. I’m hanging out in NYC for a couple of days, getting caught up on some work and fun. I made some updates to the mp3 links so you can access mp3s from The Trouble with Sweeney from the btv site, as well as their site. By the way, Saxon Shore’s site has some really nice photos from the tour. You can see what Matthew the king of btv mail order looks like while rocking out as the second saxxon guitarist. Denison and Sufjan start their week of shows in Madison, WI Tonight. If you’re near Lake Michigan, you’ll be able to see them in the next feW days. SaxOn Shore still have a few more shows left in them and The Sweeneys are rocking all over the place through the week, as well. I’m happy about Barry Bonds winning the National League MVP. He has his many critics, but I think he’s one of the classiest players in the game. He’s down to business and just want to play. That’s what us fans should want. :::scott:::
