Thanks to everyone who came out to see Bosque Brown in Philadelphia last night. It was the first time that I was able to see them play and was completely impressed. When the drums kicked in for “Still Afraid”, I felt chills down my spine. Thanks to Willis and Matthew for doing their ambient set as Soporus and to Mike for some great projections. I’ll be up at the Rockwood Music Hall in NYC for their CMJ show tonight. Apparently it’s a free show. I’ll see you there. :::scott:::

Scott, Willis, Mike, and I attempted to sail from the Eastern Shore to Baltimore on Saturday and Sunday, but there wasn’t enough wind to make it. We kept with our trip plans and slept on the boat after a Maryland crab dinner and were able to sail a bit more on Sunday to make up for our disappointing Saturday. After we got back, a few of us met up with Ethan to wish him a happy birthday. Speaking of birthdays, my parents got me one of those cool new Mac Mighty Mouses and I’m loving the trackball and ability to right click. Very nice. Friends from mewithoutyou and Circle of Hope East are en route to Louisiana to pick up a bus load of refugees in their tour bus and take them to Philadelphia,…Continue reading

I had an amazing trip to Chicago. My parents came up to visit and we painted the town red including a visit to Hot Doug’s where I had a deerlicious venison/blueberry sausage. Incredible. I also took a canoe trip on the river through downtown Chicago. Thanks to everyone for hanging out: Siri, The Hortons, Coffman, J.D., Christopher, Trevor, and all of the new people I met. I’ve been busy coordinating some details for the upcoming Saxon Shore release to get the LP jackets printed as quickly as possible. Posters and postcards have arrived for The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore and everything is in place for the 18 October release date. The band is filling up dates for their October/November tour and dates will be announced shortly. Tonight, I’m going to see Sigur Ros at the Tower Theater with Willis and others and am pretty excited. Will had to figure out how to beat the exorbitant Ticketmaster fees and he was able to shave a bit off…Continue reading
