Thanks to everyone who came out to see Saxon Shore at the Knitting Factory in NYC last night. They’ll be in Millersville, MD (near DC) on Saturday, so I should see you there if you come. They’re back to Brooklyn on 10 March at the Union Pool and then off to Japan http://www.1edrxpills.com later in the month. I have my plane ticket to go to Texas for SXSW with Bosque Brown. See you all at the Eternal on Saturday, if not before. Get ready El… The Efterklang one-sided LP master has arrived along with the hi-res photo for the cover. :::scott:::

Last night, the record listening club reconvened after quite a long hiatus, mostly due to the Saxon Shore touring. We listened to some Asian LPs I’d collected, a Fluxus anthology, a weird high fidelity test record Willi$ had, and then tuned into the documentary Powaqqatsi. Kind of a weird mix of things. Ethan and I stopped off at the btv post office box. For months I’ve been smelling the aroma of donuts cooking near the 30th street station post office. For those outside of the area, this is one huge post office, the p.o. box area is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, and it’s located right next to the highway and the 30th street train station. So, the aroma of donuts? Yes, Ethan confirmed the scent, but we don’t understand where, why, or how. Tonight, Saxon Shore hit the Knitting Factory in NYC. They’re playing in the Tap Bar on a four band bill that starts at 8. Hopefully I’ll see you there. :::scott:::
The Red Alert has just posted an interview with Saxon Shore. Canada’s Exclaim! has just posted a new review of The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore. The band will be playing the Knitting Factory in NYC next Wed. See you there. I’ll be off to the NYC tonight to visit the El C. :::scott:::
