Apparently Denison has been recording piano parts for Philadelphia Songs in swank hotels downtown, using a rogue technique involving a mini disc recorder and the assumption that he and our friend Devin really do belong there playing the piano. So, the next time you’re having your coffee and/or martini in the Four Seaons or Ritz Carlton or wherever, be on the look out for crazed musicians whose record label is too cheap/poor to rent a grand piano. Unwed Sailor : Firecracker is on its way back from the factory as a deluxe digipak cdep version. I added it to the on-line order store as well as two specially priced packages to get Damien Jurado : Four Songs LP with Damien’s new SubPop release on either cd or LP. Walsh, Songs:Ohia, The Good Life, Cerberus Shoal, Brandtson, Euphone, The Anniversary, and Vermont. Lots of your favorite records are available. Search away. Denison is in Cleveland with The Six Parts Seven as they spend a couple of days preparing and practicing before going on the road. The Six Parts Seven are an amazing instrumental band on Seattle’s Suicide Squeeze record label. Treat yourself and go see the bands together on tour if you are able.
