Just ahead of btv’s 30th Anniversary, which happens this summer, we have 3 important new vinyl releases. Jetenderpaul’s The Woolen Spires has always been one of the favorite releases in the label’s history. This was originally a co-release with our good friends in Southern California, Velvet Blue Music. Now, so many years later, The Woolen Spires joins The Modal Lines on vinyl. Post-graduate indie pop, with influences ranging from Guided By Voices, The Apples In Stereo, Kleenex Girl Wonder, to Magnetic Fields. This was bedroom pop at its finest, recorded in bedrooms to a digital 8-track, beautifully lo-fi.
