Wovenhand Vinyl

A while back, I was asking Daniel at Sounds Familyre why the new Wovenhand record wasn’t coming out on vinyl. We started talking and decided to do a co-release of The Threshingfloor. It will be out in the next couple of months on 180g vinyl and a deluxe gatefold jacket. More details on the official release date and pre-order details will come soon. You can grab an mp3 from the album at the Sounds Familyre site. :::scott:::

Damien Jurado

In case you didn’t know (and I didn’t until talking to Damien on Saturday after an amazing set in Philadelphia), Damien has posted a cover of Dio’s “Holy Diver” on his myspace page. In memory of the recently passed Ronnie James Dio, of course. Rock out. I’ve been listening to both Saint Bartlett and the Hoquiam album quite a lot lately, they’re both very good. Here’s a video for “Neck Bones” from the self-titled Hoquiam record (featuring Damien and his brother Drake), already out of print, so buy from tour if you get to see Damien. We have a couple of copies left in the on-line store, as well. Our good friend Tim has a blank lacquer and is the process of etching the B-side for Steven R. Smith’s one-sided LP, Floor of the Sky. :::scott:::
