Willis and I will be on our way shortly to see Decahedron play tonight in Brooklyn at Northsix. Maybe we’ll see you there? I saw them play in Wilkes-Barre last night. Hello to Zeke and Zack who were there. I met them at a Mineral show in 1997 and saw them a few times after, but it’s been a few years until last night. We’re going to meet up with Sufjan and Emil who’s visiting from Oslo. I hope he notices Randall waving the Norwegian flag on the site. We have officially decided to do another pressing of Sufjan’s Seven Swans. So, although pre-orders will be getting records from the first pressing, there will be plenty to go around for everyone in the near future. If you’re sticking around Philadelphia tonight, be sure to catch Aspera at The North Star. There have been some missing master problems with their one-sided LP that we’re hoping to resolve in the very near future and get that thing out. :::scott:::

The vinyl for Sufjan Steven’s Seven Swans is on its way and will be a co-release between Sounds Familyre and Burnt Toast Vinyl. There are a very few number of copies left from the first pressing that will be split between Sufjan, Sounds Familyre, and btv. I will be putting this up on the site this weekend and will open pre-orders to the first 10 copies since I’m not sure how many I will be getting for sale or if we will be doing another pressing or not. Daniel Smith says his Brother Danielson full-length is finished and that he will start to work on the one-sided LP soon. Start to get excited. Tickets went on sale for Phillies games today and the opener was already sold out, but I managed to get some tickets to the spring training game against Cleveland that will actually inaugurate the stadium. Happy Birthday to Matthew Stone whose birthday is today. By the way, I just found out that an article I wrote about the Italian prog rock band Goblin will be in the forthcoming issue of Bandoppler. Fun! :::scott:::
There’s a cover story in the Philadelphia Weekly on local labels. Burnt Toast Vinyl is featured along with a picture of me eating chili at the Texas Chili Parlor. Get informed on the rock scene in Philadelphia. Really, I just want to show myself off. I forgot to give official and public props to Matthew Magee and his short film “Foster” which features Denison Witmer’s song “Paper Dolls.” Hopefully you’ll get a chance to see it in some format soon. Andy Bruntel is readying a video for Denison’s “24 Turned 25” that will be included in the European re-issue of Philadelphia Songs. The next US version will also include the video and an extra track to match the European version. There are also going to be some European cd singles for a couple of Philadelphia Songs tracks that we will try to make available in the US. :::scott:::
