I’m getting on a plane to the midwest in a couple of hours. sunn-0))) was crazy last night, definitely amazing when they were bringing the slow guitar noise. It got completely ridiculous when the guest singer came up in makeup and started wheezing out some lyrics, but it was loud, very loud, and at least entertaining. Ethan and I debated the ridiculousness of the makeup and he insists that it was all an act and a necessary part of the show, where I just want to see guys in beards and huge stacks of amps knock me over with their wall of distortion, feedback, and noise. The second installment of A Burnt Toast Vinyl Holiday Podcast is now up. Download away. I hope you’ve enjoyed listening if you did. I think there will be some more of these in the future with some rotating pod-djs or whatever you would call them. All orders have gone out and Matthew will be sending out any priority mails prior to 20 December on 21 December. :::scott:::

Today, 16 December, at midnight is the cutoff for new orders to be shipped by media mail for 2005. If you add priority mail to your order, these orders will be shipped on or before 21 December to arrive by the 24th. Otherwise, regular orders will not be processed and sent until the beginning of 2006. There have been a lot of orders this month and some of the titles in the catalog that are normally readily available are not in stock. Holiday shipments are only 100% guaranteed for btv titles, though many other titles are in stock. Also keep in mind that the Saxon Shore The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore LPs are not yet ready. But!! we have good test pressings finally and the gatefold covers are arriving next week provided the airline doesn’t lose them again. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Mesh Print magazine launch party at Mo Pitkins in NYC last night to see Saxon Shore rock out. It was great to see everyone. See you at sunnO))) tonight. :::scott:::
Did you download the first part of the btv holiday podcast yet? Part two should be up later tonight or tomorrow morning. There are two versions, a high quality AAC for the iTunes savvy, and a low quality mp3 version for the quickdownload crowd. Isn’t podcast a weird term to use in conversation? I’ll see you for the rock in NYC tomorrow when Saxon Shore brings it home at Mo Pitkins. Who’s going to see sunn0))) in the Unitarian Sanctuary on Friday night? Ethan and I will see you there (Adam, Mike, Willi$, Matthew,…????). :::scott:::
