I’m in Austin for two weeks, but things are busier than ever. Lots of ideas going back and forth about the final Starflyer 59 boxes. We should have a final design over the weekend and then we’ll have prototypes to display around the week of Thanksgiving. We’re planning some other special unveilings to occur then, so be sure to check in. The folks at HYMY Industries will have a gallery opening at The Infantree in Lancaster on Friday, 2 November. The gallery is located at 21 N. Prince Street. Our friend Stephen Hoffman will have an ambient guitar performance during the Friday night opening along with his latest photographs. The artwork will remain on display during the month of November. :::scott:::

Unwed Sailor are currently on tour and have dates over the next two weeks throughout the midwest. Go see them play. I’ve also posted some more confirmed dates for another Unwed Sailor tour in late November through mid-December. Saxon Shore are playing three shows, tonight in Brooklyn, tomorrow in the Philadelphia area, Saturday in Fredonia. Yndi Halda are playing with Audrey in London on Sunday for everyone in the UK. Lots of Starflyer 59 test pressings have arrived. All remaining 7″ were sent out yesterday to test pressing series subscribers and they should be arriving tomorrow or Saturday. In the biggest news yet for the series, we have finally decided on where the boxes are going to be manufactured. We’re finalizing the details for the design and hope to have them ready for the third shipment in the series (late November/early December). The label and cover designs have been sent out for Emperor X The Blythe Archives Volume One one-sided LP. I’ll be posting this for pre-order very soon. I’m going to be in Chicago this weekend and then Austin for the next two weeks so mail order will be a little slower until I return, but the backlog of…Continue reading

Test pressings for Emperor X’s one-sided LP The Blythe Archives Vol. 1 arrived and sound great. Everything should be on track to have some LPs for his mid-November tour dates, including 17 November in Philadelphia. There’s a big puzzle in the artwork and etching, but I’ll reveal more information soon. I went to see The Darjeeling Limited with Mara, Ryan, and Winston in Dallas, making it the second Wes Anderson movie I’ve seen in a Texas theater. Kind of weird coincidence for me, I guess. I enjoyed the movie and really wished I’d been able to go to India like I was supposed to several years ago. I left Norman yesterday and Unwed Sailor was wrapping up the recording and hoping to start mixing Little Wars. We’ll see how it all shapes up. I enjoyed visiting Guestroom Records, a really great record store on Main Street in Norman, and also loved having some breakfasts at The Diner. See you at Jesu tomorrow night in the basement of the Unitarian, Philadelphia. :::scott:::
