I am wetting my pants from the excitement of getting Damien test pressings in the mail today. Should be a week or two before the final vinyl arrives. It looks and sounds great.
Tonight, willie, jamie, and i will be going to see summer hymns at the khyber here in philadelphia. zach gresham is the best. they’ll be rocking with destroyer. come and stay up late in the big city.
tomorrow, low will be playing in the sanctuary of the first unitarian church with flare. low is amazing and beautiful live.
Friday night, Joey Sweeney will be playing with Michigan’s Flashpapr (members of Ida and His Name is Alive) and Brother Danielson at 239 S. 10th Street, near 10th and Locust in Philadelphia. 9PM, $5. Dan will be playing in his signature tree and some members of the Danielson Famile will be in the house to rock.
Saturday, Cursive will be at the Killtime. Their new Burst and Bloom is my favorite release of theirs to date and I’m anxious to see them.
Hope to see you around…

we just got back from cmj. the trouble with sweeney was in fine form at galapagos. thanks to everyone who came out in support. the trouble’s canadian friends royal city also played the show and it was good to see them rock. after the show, willie, cake, and i went to get a slice of pizza. we looked up and our pal jesse sprinkle was walking down the street. he was in from upstate ny state to play at cmj. an odd little coincidence. thanks to joe, matt, and sufjan for putting us up for the night and sufjan for cooking everyone a fine breakfast. we all got to check out the mcsweeney’s store in brooklyn and bought a couple of the latest releases. got to hit other music and etherea, two of our favorite nyc record shops and stopped into some second hand stores. it was a great trip for music and fun.
