[04.18.08]

Beginning this week (Tuesday April 22nd) Saxon Shore's "Marked With the Knowledge" will be featured on a series of commercials for SONY HD. This news comes at a good time as we are getting ready to enter the studio again with producer Dave Fridmann and planning tours in late 2008/early 2009 for Europe, Japan and possibly the US to surround the release of the album. A new demo from the album is posted on our myspace. We will have more to share with everyone very soon.

So 2006 was a super fun time for us. 3 US tours, Japan, Taiwan, Sundance, Yogurt... Anxious/curious about what will be happening this year, but are currently focusing on new material and will be playing some shows here and there to get the new jams up to par before heading into the studio

[11.09.06]

Thanks to everyone at TRA music for such an amazing trip to Taiwan. If you'd care to see some videos of the performance, visit Youtube.

We will be playing what will likely be our last show of the year on Nov 28th back home in Philadelphia @ Johnny Brenda's with Unwed Sailor and Parts & Labor.

[10.20.06]

The online store will be back up and running upon our return from taiwan. In the meantime, visit insound for cd and vinyl needs -

[10.04.06]

Later this month we will be heading to Taiwan for the Megaport Festival! Playing the Ocean Stage Saturday October 28th at 9pm. We've also started work on some new songs that will hopefully be ready in time for the show.

[08.07.06]

We have vinyl! Yes, close to half a dozen test pressings later we have "The Exquisite Death..." ready for your listening pleasure. The first 300 now available on rosy flesh color marbled vinyl through the band and mailorder only.

Wrapping up our spring tour this week with a couple of shows in NYC on Wednesday evening at the Knitting Factory and Philadlphia on Friday at the World Cafe Live.

[04.25.06]

We will be playing a special set at the North Star in Philadelphia this Friday to open up the Red Eye Distribution Thrilladelphia Showcase (they put our records in the stores).

Doors are at 8:30, Saxon Shore on at 9pm - FREE BEER FROM YARDS (while it lasts!!).

[04.18.06]

So we returned safe and sound from Japan a few weeks ago and now we're getting ready to head out in the US again next month. All of the shows will be with Denison Witmer and a few with Anathallo. Also noteworthy, Steve will be sitting out the next couple of tours as he's taken on an internship at a studio in NYC. What does this mean? Are we pulling the no drummer act again? Actually, it means our old friend Josh Tillman will be back behind the drums for us next month. Here's what he had to say about the matter -

"I'm looking forward to getting back behind the drum set. And then throwing it."

[02.21.06]

We're coming to Japan in support of the March 24th album release on Spark Musiq.

"This Shameless Moment" from The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore was selected for use on the trailer commemorating the 25th annual Sundance Film Festival. The trailer features a collage of footage from some of the independent films that Sundance has helped bring to a larger audience since its inception including Heathers, Napoleon Dynamite, Reservoir Dogs, Deilcatessen and Donnie Darko.

In other news, we have made arrangements with Spark Musiq to release our new album in Japan with a release tentative for March 2006. This version of the release will also feature a remix of "The Shaping of a Helpless Joy" from Tyondai Braxon of Battles (Warp Records). A Japanese tour will coincide with the release. More information on this will be available shortly.

[12.08.05]

Our new album, "The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore", has been receiving some favorable reviews recently from publications such as Spin, Nylon, Devil in the Woods, Entertainment Weekly and several others. We've posted a few of these up under the press section on the website here. Just click on misc to navigate there.

New online store up and running just in time for the holidays. Some rare Saxon Shore items including stadium blankets and hand bags are up for sale. Also, two new tshirt designs along with a cd/tshirt sale for just $20.

[11.23.05]

Tour is over. Thanks as always to everyone who opened their homes to us, fed us, set up a show for us, and bought records and shirts from us. We're working on a new website and will have tshirts and other rarities from tour including saxon shore stadium blankets and purses available shortly.

[9.22.05]

The internet and post office are rare and special occasions on tour so we've decided to outsource a good amount of our website over the next couple of months to make sure the most up to date information is available and everyones orders are received in a timely manner. Insound will be taking over the Saxon Shore online store/mailorders, and we will be keeping you up to date on most recent shows and other info at myspace.com/saxonshore

[9.19.05]

The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore is now available at Insound. Click the image below to purchase our new full length album and download a new mp3.

[9.12.05]

Insound will be selling "The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore" starting next Monday September 19th. This will be a good month before you can get it in stores or other websites (Oct 18th is the actual release date), and a couple weeks before you can pick it up from us on tour.

We will be posting more info later this week, but visit insound.com for more information and other Saxon Shore releases.

[8.31.05]

Tour dates for this fall have been posted. And we're finally making our way to the west coast again. Not all the dates are booked yet, but we're still working away. Email matt@brokenfactory.com and we will do our best to fulfill your request.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the last tour such a good time.

[7.27.05]

The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore is finished and will be released with Burnt Toast Vinyl in the US on October 18th. The release will also be surrounded by a 7 week national tour. In the meantime, we will be heading out to the midwest for a couple weeks in August. If all goes as planned (which often it doesn't) we will have copies of The Exquisite Death.. vinyl for sale on this tour. New shirts and buttons (hand-made by our friend Patrick) will be available as well.

In booking news, we are currently booking the national tour for Oct/Nov and are taking requests now.

[studio journal of sorts now up and running]

[6.25.05]

Mixing has begun for The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore. We will be posting mixes at myspace.com/saxonshore as they are completed for a couple days at a time for all to hear. The first one is already posted so feel free to go take a listen. Enjoy!

[5.19.05]

We are currently in the studio recording "The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore" with producer Dave Fridmann. We will be keeping an active studio journal with photos and possibly some video.

The reissue of "Be a Bright Blue" was released this past Tuesday, May 17, and our new EP "Luck Will Not Save Us From a Jackpot of Nothing" will be available in your local music store on May 31.

We're also heading back on the road in June. Our friend Kristen at Silver Leaf Booking has taken over booking duties for us so things are shaping up nicely. It was about that time after 3 years of booking ourselves. She still has a few dates available so feel free to email her if you have a place for us to play. Dates are up on the tour page.

[3.31.05]

The new EP, tshirts and reissue of "Be a Bright Blue" have all arrived and are now shipping. Please visit the store page for more info on how to order.

[3.18.05]

Thank you to everyone who came out over the past couple of weeks to the shows with Anathallo and Viva Voce. Apparently our cd's shipped from the czech republic last week so all pre-orders and other back orders will be shipped within the week. We sold out of vinyl on the tour so you'll now have to order from Secretly Canadian if you would like an LP. We also have new shirts on the way and those will be posted in the store within the next few days. More tour dates for April now posted.

[3.6.05]

Saxon Shore is on the road right now, but unfortunately we do not have copies of our new EP yet due to circumstances out of our control with the manufacturing process. We will be taking pre orders at shows and on the website and hope to have them by the time we return home and we will be shipping all preorders at that time.

[01.21.05]

We're happy to announce that at the end of our tour dates this March we will be entering the studio to record our new full length album, The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore, with producer Dave Fridmann (Low, Flaming Lips, Mogwai). We plan on releasing the album in the fall and will have more info on those things at a later date.

If you'd like to hear recordings from our new EP a couple songs have been added to the audio page. You can now preorder the EP in the store and it will ship to you upon arrival (around mid February). More tour dates added as well, and our first show of the year is tomorrow.

[01.05.05]

We recently completed the recording and mixing of our new EP, "Luck Will Not Save Us From a Jackpot of Nothing" . The EP was recorded over the course of 2004 at our respective homes via file sharing with additional tracking and production over the month of December in New York, NY by Shitake Monkey. We will be posting some audio from the new album next week and hope to have copies available by our shows in February. As for an official release date to national record stores it's looking to be around late April/early May. We will also be recording another full length album this spring and will post more regarding that shortly.

Also, tour dates for the next few months have been posted as well. If we're not coming to your area just email us and we will do our best.

[11.17.04]

Saxon Shore will be touring the US this coming March/April. This time around we'll hopefully be bringing our new record and some new faces along. We're heading through most of the US and are currently taking booking requests so please email matt@brokenfactory.com if interested in bringing Saxon Shore to your area.

[9.30.04]

New show added. We'll be playing at CMJ Music Marathon for the Burnt Toast Vinyl showcase Saturday October 16th @ 7pm.

Also, The Four Months of Darkness 12"LP will be available today from Secretly Canadian.

[7.30.04]

Saxon Shore, "a documentary on being unsuccessful", will be screening at various film festivals this fall. The film contains footage from radio interviews, live performances and time spent in the van on our tours this past spring and fall. Dates will be posted shortly.

[6.17.04]

New mp3 up for download. The order page has been updated with new t-shirts and things on sale at the bottom. Four Months of Darkness is also available at itunes.

[5.22.04]

Tour is over, and will not be on the road again, for any extended period of time, until the new record is completed. The website will continue to be updated and rough mixes, live performaces, and things like that, will be posted in an attempt to make sure you don't lose interest in our endeavors.

[4.28.04]

Secretly Canadian will be releasing the Four Months of Darkness 12" LP direct to stores on August 17th. Until then, you can still buy it on our order page or at Burnt Toast Vinyl.

[4.27.04]

OK, the videos are finally up. They're kind of large at the moment so hopefully you have a fast connection to the world wide web. And another mp3 is up.

[4.21.04]

Our video's are ready to post up on the site, but we're trying to find appropriate hosting at the moment for them. If you want to see them sooner and you have AOL IM, message "disconnect27" and I'll send them over to you.

We begin touring next week. Another show has been added. Hopefully we will have instruments to play our songs with.

[4.08.04]

Four Months of Darkness is now available for download via itunes. Josh will be playing some shows in Seattle this month under his moniker of j. Tillman. Visit his page for more info and all that.

[4.01.2004]

Welcome to the new Saxon Shore website. Our fanciest one to date.

We will be fulfilling another round of engagements on the east coast this spring.

Plans are yet to be determined after that.
