Tooth & Nail Records is astonished and delighted to bring you Seattle Indie Rock heroes Roadside Monument\u2019s I Am the Day of Current Taste<\/em> to vinyl for the very first time!

NPR music critic Lars Gotrich writes of I Am the Day of Current Taste<\/em> in the insert\u2019s massive retrospective essay, \u201cit is a hulking rock-and-roll motorcycle apocalypse.. and that\u2019s just the first minute and a half\u2026 the kind of opening blitzkrieg that thins out the herd; only the deepest listeners survive.\u201d

Co-produced by those taxiriding, art formatters @ UnoriginalVinyl, the original, collaged-assembled-by-hand album artwork for I Am the Day of Current Taste<\/em> had to be painfully recreated in 7 individual layers. While such bizarre, aberrant artwork was being restored, they thought, \u201cWhy not also add an anaglyphic layer of 3D viewing texture to the front and back jacket, and throw in a pair of Blue\/Red 3D Glasses with every copy?\u201d

Available for pre-order on 31 August 2022 at 1PM EDT\/10 AM PDT. 500 copies were pressed on \u201cClear Orange\/Gold with Blue & Red Smoke\u201d Vinyl, and will be evenly split & sold on both the T&N MerchNow Webstore and here at Burnt Toast Vinyl\u2019s Webstore<\/a>. 100 additional copies will be sold exclusively by the band at their reunion shows this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to a major pressing plant oversight, there are actually \/500 copies pressed on clear Orange Gold with Blue and Red Smoke, and an extra, completely randomized \u201cClear Yellow with Blue Smoke\u201d \/100 vinyl copies that have been distributed amongst the band, T&N, and BTV. Your guess is as good as ours which color you\u2019ll have show up because we don\u2019t have the ability to open and sort all 600 copies to separate them when the are all located in a mixture of Seattle, Pennsylvania, and New York, but there\u2019s only a 16.6% chance you\u2019ll receive a yellow copy.
