Mara Miller is playing a last minute show tonight, 14 September, at University of Texas Dallas’ student center. It’s free and she’ll be playing solo. Saxon Shore are playing a show in Brooklyn this Saturday. It must be kind of secret because I don’t even know the details. Look around and maybe you can figure it out. But it’s on. Unwed Sailor start their US dates with Appleseed Cast and Murder by Death tonight. They’re off to Europe soonafter. :::scott:::

I’m all about Emperor X ever since I saw the show in Philadelphia a couple months back. I’ve been listening to Central Hug/Friend Army/Fractal Dunes on Discos Mariscos. You can hear some of his songs on the Emperor X myspace page. Anyhow, Chad is working on a series of recordings called “The Blythe Archives” and one of the releases in the series will be a one-sided LP for Burnt Toast Vinyl. Yndi Halda has finished the audio for Enjoy Eternal Bliss and it should be mastered this week. The artwork is also finished, too, and I’ll be organizing it to send off to the printer for the US/UK versions. Oliver Chapoy from Saxon Shore was once a member of Shai Halud. ’nuff said. Does this prove their hardcore cred? I’m going to Boston to visit the great Dr. Randall from Jetenderpaul. There will be rumors and rumblings of future recordings, I am sure…Are they the most awesome btv band that you’ve never heard? Quite possibly. :::scott:::

Thanks to everyone who came out to see Saxon Shore and From Monument to Masses in Philadelphia on Friday and Saxon Shore, From Monument to Masses, and Denison Witmer in NYC last night. I’ve been wearing out Lucas and Diana with all of the rock and adventure. We recruited Brit and Van to go with us yesterday and stopped off at Weyerbacher for a tour on the way. We picked up their friend Arlene on the way and made our way to a great chocolate shop and a cupcake bakery, Sugar Sweet Sunshine, which rivals the quality of Magnolia. Lucas, Diana, and I will be going to see A Silver Mt. Zion in the sanctuary of the Unitarian church tomorrow night. We’re hopefully going to work in a visit to the Mutter museum before. I’ve spent the day getting caught up on orders and making some magazine ads. Unwed Sailor start their tour tomorrow night, check out the dates and be sure to see them. :::scott:::
