The btv compound is getting cleaned up and I'm getting caught up.
The forthcoming Starflyer 59 album is called "Talking Voice vs. Singing Voice." We're talking about an extra 7" with two bonus tracks to accompany the LP release, but no final plans yet.
Denison Witmer is currently recording his full-length for The Militia Group. The vinyl version will be out on Burnt Toast Vinyl once it's ready. More details when they're known.
I got a little crazy and ordered a singing saw yesterday. We'll see what happens with it all. Be sure to see Reels of White this week. Oh yeah, there will be a full-length Reels album on Burnt Toast Vinyl in 2005. Did I mention that before? That's in addition to the four-way 2xLP split with Reels, Questions in Dialect, The Magic Lanterns, and foxhole.

Jess and I were in Indiana for a few days, leaving just after my hometown, Marion, was plowed out from under the 8" of snow they got on Thursday. I was excited to find some high speed wireless internet at a place called Beatniks Cafe in the downtown. Matthew and I were able to communicate well enough to get all of the orders out in time for Christmas. I'm on vacation this week and will be organizing the btv stock in the compound. I'm listening to Brian Wilson's Smile album on LP and it's sounding amazing.
Reels of White Softly Flow will be playing two shows this week: Thursday at The Chameleon (Lizard Lounge) in Lancaster, PA at 8pm and Saturday in Philadelphia at artist studios located at 22nd and Mt. Vernon at 7pm or so. See you there.
Saxon Shore are mastering their new ep on 10 January with Alan at West West Side. The ep is called "Luck Will Not Save Us From a Jackpot of Nothing." After mastering, Ben Volta is finishing the artwork for the ep and everything should be ready for the Spring.
Congratulations to Matthew and Carrie on their engagement.

Matthew and I are all caught up on orders in time for Christmas. I am going to put up some priority mail options for those who order between the close of the post office today (5pm EST) and noon on Wednesday (22 December). From then until New Year's, orders will ship from 4 January on. There's a need to organize the stock at the btv compound. A real big need...
Some official news today...I'll be releasing the vinyl version of the forthcoming Starflyer59 full-length. It's set for release in the spring and the vinyl will be ready for pre-order a bit before and ship prior to the cd release. Jason Martin and I are in contact over all of the details, so there won't be any difficulties.

I'm in Georgia for a few days for my work. In the meantime, Matthew is slaving away on mail order while I feed him the information. He's the man, yeah!
A bunch of us, I mean like 15 of us, went to see The Life Aquatic in NYC on Saturday. It was completely amazing, as expected. Wes Anderson always has these magical little details in his movies, the very smallest thing that is somehow just odd enough to make you laugh out loud. Really. I could go on and on and on about it, but that would probably spoil it, but all I have to say is Colby the three-legged dog. Maybe it's mean to even say that much. Bill Murray was perfect for his oceanographer role. Bud Court was even in it. Yes, that Bud Court.
After the movie, we trekked off to Monkeytown, an unmarked door in Williamsburg Brooklyn. There's a loft space on the second floor with several futons arranged around the center in a square. There are white sheets as movie screens behind surrounding you by the video being played. The idea is to mix video, music, and food in one experience. I got a squash and fish chowder that was better than many restaurants I'd been to. Everyone else had nothing but great things to say about the food. The first act was a video done by Sagan followed up by a live performance from The Dead Texan. The nice thing about the arrangement was the the driving electronic beats from Sagan got your worked up to enjoy your food and then you could lounge back and just stare up at the video while the quiet sounds of The Dead Texan washed around after your belly was filled with tastiness. This was a really incredible concept and space.

Ethan and Courtney's wedding was yesterday and was really classy. Congratulations and enjoy the honeymoon in Egypt. See you in a couple of weeks.
We went to Cereality on Friday night on my insistance. My concoction was a scoop of lucky charms, a scoop of cocoa puffs, and chocolate milk crystals. It was supposed to have malted milk ball pieces on it, but the girl forgot and I didn't realize until later. Jess had Cap'n Crunch with Reese's Puffs, a banana, raisins, and chocolate syrup. The raisins sank to the bottom, but otherwise, it was a good combo. We were lame and just picked off of the meager 4 combo suggestions that they had on the board. They were playing cartoons on the tv, but had their sound muted out to play crappy oooh baby music. But, if you live in Philadelphia, go check it out in the next couple of months while their still in business and mix your cereal like Mom never let you do.
The Pixies we decent last night. I'm giving them a B-. We had to sit way far back and the sound was like listening through a tin can. I smuggled the minidisc in, but I'm not sure it will result in anything good. My friend John was sitting like 15 rows back or so, I'm sure his concert experience was a lot better. They played a decent set, but when you fork over $35 plus the $7.50 or so in ticketmaster (we're not a monopoly but just try to buy our tickets somewhere else) charges, you have higher expectations. Or at least I do. They played a meager 1 song encore after about an hour and 15 minute set.
Tonight, we're off to see some kind of weird puppet show at the Rotunda in West Philadelphia.
Oh yeah, for those interested, Reels of White Softly Flow is playing at the Lizard Lounge at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on 30 December. There's also going to be a show in Philadelphia on 1 January, but the venue has not yet been determined. A few things are in the works, but something will definitely happen.
As far as mailorder in time for Christmas, the last day we are taking and processing orders will be 18 December. Order processing will likely resume on 27 or 28 December.

Ethan and Courtney are getting married tomorrow. I'm up for a big party. After that, Jess and I are meeting up with Dave and others to see the Pixies. Let's see if these old timers live up to the hype and are good in spite of being out for a cash grab. Tonight, we're going to try out a weird new store that sells mix and match cereal. ceriously.
The new btv shirts (maroon, gold, forest green) will be in stock on Monday, along with all of the back stock and more pink shirts that were very popular.
Bosque Brown Plays Mara Lee Miller is being made right now, along with a repress of Saxon Shore : Four Months of Darkness and the btv re-issue of Saxon's : Be A Bright Blue in a slick redesigned digipak. No vinyl planned at the moment, but one never knows. Saxon Shore are still working on The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore.
