I'm in Amsterdam with Denison at the moment. We've had an amazing weekend walking around with Diana and Lucas. We discovered the magic of raw herring, a Dutch delicacy. Denison ate all of his, I only managed to stomach a little more than half, but I feel like I still joined an elite club. Today, we saw Dogville with Diana/Lucas and our Swedish friend Micke. It was just an amazingly captivating movie with quite a surprise ending. Nicole Kidman was unbelievably brilliant and Lars von Trier delivers yet again, if not with his most important and impressive movie yet. It may be my recent post-movie excitement, but it was really quite good. Denison is playing quite a few shows in Europe, you must see him play. We're hanging with Rik and Alleke for the rest of the night and I'm off in the morning to Singapore. Early Day Miners Vinyl will be out in stores on Tuesday, 2 September, go buy it... Welcome back to the U.S., Jess, talk to you soon. :::scott:::

Today is my 30th birthday. Joey told me that 30 is the new 22, offering whatever glimpse of hope he could. I am offering a special deal...Type in "Happy Birthday Scott" or some fine derivative and receive free shipping on your order. If you order the Unwed Sailor hardbound book, I'll give it to you for $18ppd, a mere $5 more than the digipak version. You cart contents won't reflect the deal, but I will take care of it upon charging your credit card. Type something positively witty and you might find yourself with a better deal still. The deal's off if you somehow manage to insult me, so be careful, and it will only last into early September. So, are you feeling lucky? Thanks to everyone who stopped by last night. A special shout out to Mr. Jeff Mangum of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Tuscon and mad props to the amazing girl who tracked it all down. :::scott:::

Tonight, Saxon Shore will be at The Pilot Light in Knoxville, TN and on Thursday, destroying NYC with rock music once again Thursday night at the ACME Underground. They've been working their instrumnetal magic cross country for 8 weeks now. Finishing the tour will be a sunrise performance at the purple door festival and an evening experimental set with Reels of White Softly Flow. Early Day Miners and Unwed Sailor travel on to the Black Cat in DC tonight. I was able to catch the sets on both Monday and Tuesday in NYC and Brooklyn and both bands are at the top of their game, be sure to come out and support. The Trouble with Sweeney have shows Fri/Sat in Virginia. If you're nearby, you're obligated to go. Hey to Chris who was hanging out in front of the Fez hoping to get a ticket to the sold out Denison Witmer/Innocence Mission show last night. Hope you enjoyed the cupcake, Denison, unless Marie ate it. Hi to the fine Fanatic crew. Thanks to Matthew for mowing the lawn and trimming the weeds. If anyone else is bored and in the area, feel free to stop by for yard work. Hey also to world traveling stalkers visiting the site, you are always welcome. See you in a month or so. :::scott:::

I am coming back to the U.S. this weekend just in time to see Unwed Sailor and Early Day Miners play in NYC and Brooklyn on 11/12 August. Hopefully I'll see you at the shows. Aspera has turned in the 5 song audio master for their forthcoming one-sided LP. The cover image and etching are being finalized. Everything is planned for a 1 November release to stores. Aspera continue on in the style established by their super hott 2003 release, Oh Fantastica, on Jagjaguwar. Think electronic drum beats mixed with layers and layers of keyboards entertwined with the proper doseage of psych rock melodies. If you don't know Aspera, you must become close friends as soon as possible. :::scott:::
