Thanks to everyone who came out to see Saxon Shore and From Monument to Masses in Philadelphia on Friday and Saxon Shore, From Monument to Masses, and Denison Witmer in NYC last night. I've been wearing out Lucas and Diana with all of the rock and adventure. We recruited Brit and Van to go with us yesterday and stopped off at Weyerbacher for a tour on the way. We picked up their friend Arlene on the way and made our way to a great chocolate shop and a cupcake bakery, Sugar Sweet Sunshine, which rivals the quality of Magnolia. Lucas, Diana, and I will be going to see A Silver Mt. Zion in the sanctuary of the Unitarian church tomorrow night. We're hopefully going to work in a visit to the Mutter museum before. I've spent the day getting caught up on orders and making some magazine ads. Unwed Sailor start their tour tomorrow night, check out the dates and be sure to see them. :::scott:::

Thanks to everyone who came to see Saxon Shore and From Monument to Masses last night in Philadelphia. My friends Lucas and Diana have been visiting from Holland and they go to go. I've been showing them NYC and Philadelphia all week. Always good seeing Jeff, Ethan, and Scott, too. It's a shame that Motorhead Mike couldn't come. He's earning new nicknames for his absence. All of us are having breakfast with From Monument to Masses in a bit and then we're off for tonight's NYC show. Should be lots of fun. Don't forget, Unwed Sailor starts their new tour on Monday...Dates have been updated. :::scott:::

Test pressings for June Panic's Raising the Canopy Wires one-sided LPs arrived yesterday. They were sounding and looking great. I'm expecting test pressings for other one-sided LPs this week. East Coast, get ready for Saxon Shore. See you at the Philadelpiha and NYC shows on Friday and Saturday. For all of the Andy Bruntel fans out there in btvland, he's just finished a video for a new Bonnie Prince Billy song and it features some falconry. :::scott:::

Lots going on here. I was in NC for a couple of days. Then, a vanload of friends and old rockers rode up for the State College Beer Festival. And, I just got back from a couple days in NYC with Lucas and Diana who are visiting from Holland. On Sunday, we met up with Cakeater and saw the free show with Jason Lytle of Grandaddy in Williamsburg. It was a little hot, but the sound was good. The set was pretty low key and the crowd seemed to be pretty out of it, but definitely enjoyable. I'm expecting copies of Unwed Sailor's The White Ox back from the factory shortly. They're getting ready to go on tour on the West Coast shortly. Saxon Shore have a day off in Philadelphia and then do DC tomorrow night. Then, a hometown show and a jaunt up to NYC and Boston. Be sure to catch the last dates of their tour. Yndi Halda have wrapped up their UK tour. There are reviews up for a couple of the shows. One here at Drowned in Sound and one here on the blog Boring Machines Disturbs Sleep. The band is going to wrap up the recording of one more song for their forthcoming album and will be completing final mixes shortly. We're hoping to get them to the US for some dates this fall. :::scott:::

More dates for Unwed Sailor on the West Coast in August have been posted. Keep checking for additions. Jessica, Ben, Justin, and I went to see Danielson with the Impossible Shapes at Vox Populi on Saturday. It was blistering hot and we all left the show completely soaked with sweat. I was in Hoboken on Friday night and got to see Serena Maneesh. Anybody see them at the Siren Fest in Coney Island on Saturday? Always good to see Emil, Ben, and everyone else. Even if it means driving a carload of Norwegians and equipment to Brooklyn at 2am. :::scott:::

Happy Bastille Day you revolutionaries. I'll be in Hoboken tonight at Maxwell's to watch Serena Maneesh bring the rock and bring some of their equipment to bring the rock. See you at the show. Saturday night, Jessica and I will be at Vox Populi in Philadelphia to see Danielson play with Neil Hamburger and The Impossible Shapes. Copies of The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore vinyl are going out today. Saxon Shore are burning up the West Coast with their hott rock right now. A few show updates were added to the site today, as well as new shows for Unwed Sailor and Foxhole. :::scott:::

Questions in Dialect have finished The Ghost Wishes to Speak. It's a very interesting mix of post-rock instrumental aesthetics, modernist composer, and '60s futurist music. So, we'll be mastering this and getting the LPs and cdeps pressed up soon. To recap, this is the final contribution to the four band 2xLP split release and accompanying 4 separate cdeps that will feature Questions in Dialect, Foxhole, The Magic Lantern, and Soporus. :::scott:::

Happy 4th of July a day late. Here's an interesting art exhibit with a Burnt Toast theme. Jessica and I will be seeing The Hidden Cameras tonight. I think Mike might be persuaded to go, too. I bet Jeff wants to go, too. Questions in Dialect have finished their part of the 4 band split 2xLP, so all of the audio is done for this release. :::scott:::
