Thanks to everyone who came to the Saxon Shore/Denison Witmer/J. Tillman show on Friday and Foxhole/Soporus/Colour Revolt on Sunday in Philadelphia. We ended up with a house full of people on Sunday night after those show talking music way late into the night.

Tonight in Jackson, MS, there will be a children's ballet performance to Unwed Sailor's The Marionette and the Music Box at 7pm in the Duling School Auditorium and will also feature live performances by Wooden Finger and El Obo, both on the Esperanza Plantation label. If you're in the area, be sure to go, I'm sure it will be amazing.
There is now accordion and low pennywhistle on The White Ox.
Thumbs down to Jeff and Mike for being Pelican'ts last night. Mogwai tonight. See you all there.

There's a review of the new Unwed Sailor Circles cdep on Indie Workshop. Johnathon is going into the studio today to make some final tweaks to The White Ox and claims that there will be some pennywhistles added to one of the tracks. We should be on track to have the 2xLP vinyl version of Circles and The White Ox out in mid-summer and The White Ox cd out in September.
Thanks to everyone who came out to send Saxon Shore off in Philadepliha Sunday night. They're on a short tour with dates with Denison Witmer and Anathallo, so be sure to check them out when they bring the rock in your town. I also got to see Boston's Caspian on Monday night with John Mallinen, John Frances, and Birdie Busch.
I'm off to see Pelican and Mono tonight and Mogwai tomorrow night as the Phillies continue their bloody trail of terror through the National League East.

Happy Seis de Mayo.

I think I have final LP jacket layouts ready for Bosque Brown Cerro Verde, Efterklang One-Sided LP, and Unwed Sailor Circles and The White Ox. These things come in big batches, it seems. The film should be ready early next week and then off to the printer. Lots of LPs coming very, very soon.
Some confusion around The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore LP is settled and a fixed up test pressing should arrive soon.
Hey, Philadelphia, Saxon Shore is headlining at the Khyber on Sunday night. See you there.

Matthew, Matt, and I went to see Mt. Eerie, Jason Anderson, and Thanksgiving last night. It's always great to see Phil play. Jason was insane live, playing his set without a microphone in the middle of the crowd.
Tonight is Isis with Dalek and Zombi.
For all of our UK friends, James from Yndi Halda will be performing as a lily in Cardiff on Thursday and again in Ashford on 18 May.

I'm hoping to have the 2xLP release of Circles and The White Ox in July and The White Ox cd in September. Unwed Sailor is planning to be on tour in the U.S. in June and Europe in September.
Foxhole are wrapping up the artwork and mastering for their cdep that includes their contribution to the four way 2xLP split release. They should have the cdeps available on their May tour.
Johnathon is working with Josh Myers in Seattle to wrap up a couple of tracks for The White Ox. I'm going to see Mt. Eerie play tonight at the Unitarian Church.
Sunday, Saxon Shore kick off their tour with a special Philadelphia show at the Khyber. Be there.
