A special thanks to Andy at Vinyl Films. I just received an incredible looking set of records. The first was one I never thought I'd see, the vinyl version of the complete Cat Stevens' Harold and Maude soundtrack. Definitely a super-deluxe packaging with a 7" of special promo spots, a snippet of actual film, and a deluxe booklet chronicling the making of the film. This thing is just amazingly beautiful and one of my favorite movies of all time. Vinyl Films have also released the deluxe LP version of the Eddie Vedder composed Into the Wild soundtrack. If you see these for sale, don't think twice about buying them. Hopefully I'll have them for sale from the site soon.
Bosque Brown mixing continues and is hopefully wrapping up soon. It's sounding good so far...

The folks at HYMY Industries have finished the screenprinting and letterpressing for the Starflyer Ghosts of the Future 7" box set. Jason will be autographing inserts for the first 100 subscribers this week. One of the remaining 7" has been delivered and we are waiting for the last three. More details will be posted as soon as this is ready to ship.
Steven R. Smith has a new album called Owl out now on Digitalis Industries. He also has another project called Ulaan Khol that will be out shortly on Soft Abuse and will be the first in a three album series. He's been working on material for a one-sided LP and we're excited about the release.
Emperor X's The Blythe Archives Volume One one-sided LP will be available at your favorite local record shop tomorrow, 19 February. We're happy to be a part of a record that is so fun.

Foxhole is the band of the week on the What to Wear During an Orange Alert blog. There's also a short interview with Foxhole. Foxhole is tentatively planning a short tour at the beginning of May that should loop down through the south from their Bowling Green/Nashville base.
Test pressings for Unwed Sailor's Little Wars are good and the vinyl should be on track for their touring efforts in late March/April. The vinyl is a 2xLP with 2 additional tracks as the second LP. This will also come with a digital download certificate good for a free mp3 download of all tracks on the vinyl version.
Emperor X is planning some dates in late February and throughout the spring to support The Blythe Archives Volume One and preview some material from the other Blythe Archives.
Dr. Randall Stephens (of Jetenderpaul fame) has his first book out from the Harvard University Press. The book is based on his doctoral thesis and explores the history of Pentacostalism and the Holiness movement in the United States and their affect on American culture. He's a history professor in Boston at the moment and there are still plans for recording more Jetenderpaul material.

Happy Groundhog Day. We're off to explore the magic of NYC donuts (mmmm, Doughnut Plant!) but are making sure we're back tonight to see Soporus play in Bensalem at Saba, sabaphilly.wordpress.com. See you there.
